Gor Mahia FC 🇰🇪 are yet to travel to Zambia for their CAF Confederation Cup Playoffs round match against NAPSA Stars 🇿🇲.

The Kenyan champions were to leave Nairobi on Friday 19th at 11am (EAT) but the trip was aborted at the last minutes. They are now planning to travel on Sunday morning, the same day of the match.

New Gor Mahia signing Fred Nkata makes the travelling squad to Zambia. Harun Shakava is conspicuously missing from the squad despite signing earlier than Nkata.

This match comes at a time when NAPSA Stars’ Coach Fathi is mourning the death of his father.

“COACH FATHI’S FATHER DIES…NAPSA Stars Football Club wishes to convey its deepest heartfelt message of condolences to its head coach Mr. Mohamed Fathi for the loss of his Father Mr. Soliman Fathi,” Said the club on her Facebook Page.

It is not yet sure whether Fathi will be available for this match or not.

Gor Mahia travelling squad: Goalkeepers: Boniface Oluoch, Gad Mathews.

Defenders: Geoffrey Ochieng, Joachim Oluoch, Charles Momanyi, Philemon Otieno, Kevin Wesonga, Fred Nkata, Andrew Juma, Frank Odhiambo.

Midfielders: Kenneth Muguna, Ernest Wendo, Alpha Onyango, Sydney Ochieng, Nicholas Omondi.

Forwards: Nicholas Kipkirui, Jules Ulimwengu, Benson Omalla, John Macharia, Tito Okello.
