Barikiwa Studio founder and producer, songwriter and artist John Erick, popularly known as Wuod Fibi, has officially ditched secular music to re-join Gospel industry after years of break.
Speaking via his verified Facebook account after attending a church service at Go Ye Outreach Ministries in Columbus Ohio, the ‘Wuoth Gi Yesu’ (Walking with Christ) hit-maker announced that his return is an onset of great things yet to come.
“Father’s Day Sunday Service Was Special. Getting back to ministry after years of break.’ He said.
The music maestro went on to reveal that his resolve to rejoin the industry where his career began marks the onset of a journey to ‘unstoppable blessings’ for himself and his family.
“This marks the beginning of new things and unstoppable blessings in my life and family,” he added.
The singer’s friends and fans took to social media to welcome the news, many considering it among the best decisions he has ever made in the recent past.
“Big blow to the devil as Wuod Fibi back to his roots in serving God. Hallelujah,” Said Kisumu-based pastor and reverend George Anyul.
“Rejoice not over me my enemies because when I fall I will rise again. More grace wuod Fibi,” commented Victoria Atieno.
Pst. Enos Musaa – “Wow welcome back bro after the long break. You still have your space at the Lords table. The harvest is plenty with few laborers.”
Days earlier, the singer, who is currently enjoying his long vacation in the United States, announced his retirement from the production industry, adding that he was honored not only to serve thousands of his fans but also sons and daughters he is leaving behind.
“I am now a retired music producer who has raised and inspired very many young upcoming producers who are all doing well and working hard to take the industry to the next level,” posted Eric.
“My retirement from the music production industry is full of blessings having left behind a contingent of young men full of enthusiasm and whom I have inspired a lot,” he stated.
The musician has vowed to shift his attention to building The Wuod Fibi Art Center / The Wuod Fibi Foundation in his home Nyakach, Kisumu County upon his return.
Some of his renowned songs include; ‘Cham Gi Wang’i’, ‘Oriti Baba’, ‘Adwari Yesu’ and ‘Nyasaye Ber.’
