Speaking via his Twitter handle, Tanzanian opposition leader Tundu Lissu now says President John Pombe Magufuli has been airlifted to India from Nairobi for further treatment.

Unconfirmed sources claim Magufuli was sneaked into Nairobi earlier in the week for further treatment at Nairobi Hospital after developing breathing difficulties.

Tundu Lissu, among other Tanzanians, has been poking holes on the whereabouts of President Magufuli.

Over the past few days, Lissu has turned his Twitter platform into an updates center on the progress of Magufuli’s health and whereabouts.

Taking to Twitter on Tuesday, March 9, Lissu insisted that the president’s wellbeing was a matter of public concern, questioning why his whereabouts and reports that he was unwell had not been formally and publicly addressed.

According to Lissu, despite denying the existence of COVID-19 in Tanzania since last year, President Magufuli suffered the same and had to be airlifted for further treatment.
