Samuel Otieno Tito, A Kenyan Gospel Minister who gained immense success in early 1980s with his unique style of preaching, praise and worships songs hewed directly from the Bible, has made public his ambition to set up a mega recording studio in Nyanza, Kenya.
Breaking out this vision earlier during the year, Apostle Tito took to his Facebook account to call on willing people across the world to join hands and help him set up the studio which he believes will help nurture talents and record for many upcoming artist not only in various parts of Nyanza but also across the country.
At the beginning of the year 2021, the singer-cum-preacher said his experience while ministering in cities and remote villages has exposed him to many who, despite being able to sing and write organic songs, find it a challenge to reach to the few available studios to record their songs due to long distsnce and lack of finance.
“I have seen old women in the remote areas with sweet voices and able to sing but end up dying with their talents due to inability to access studios. Nairobi is far and not all can get there,” said Tito via his Facebook account on January 11th.
“There are also many talented upcoming youths whom helping and teaching has been a big challenge….we need recording instruments in remote areas…. Kindly join my group and fund this initiative,” he added.
Otieno Tito believes contrary to the current trend where many good studios are only available in Nairobi, it is very possible, through teamwork, to establish them in remote areas and help nurture thousands of talents that might end vanishing like many others in the past.
