This first Friday of October, the year 2020, is not-so-perfect. Comparable to a shot from behind, Monica Asingo – a friend in the vineyard, Gospel Maestro and Mama – has given up her ghost!
Friends, like the wild flower, she has bloomed and taken off. For a fact, it rends.
Mama:
Your life was Christ.
In all our conversations, your ceasless smiles and laughter took the center stage. Even when it was tough and unbearable, you were optimistic. But who is man to withstand and add even a single minute, when the hour for departure has clouded?
Your hard work too, remains a rare gem. From balancing ministrations to working your fingers to the bone for the family, everybody testifies you were good. Where shall we find a sedulous person like You?
Your distinct music, springing from your dulcet vocals, will forever continue to print in our hearts; You were here mama!
Our sharings were worth it. Your advices, counsels, insights into music and unique rectifications will eternally print in my heart and remind me; You were here mama!
Mama, am in pieces. your friends are weeping. Family is distressed. Everyone is agreeing in pain; You were here!
Mama, You were here!
Given that we all have to die somehow, it was gracious having you on earth, beloved Soldier in the Kingdom. Though your earthly tether is separated, your soul is bound to the Lord.
Indeed, life is a one-off.
Friends, we are sojourners and pilgrims- belonging elsewhere. Ambassadors? Yes.
