KING of 42-kilometer world race Eliud Kipchoge has announced he will return to Hamburg, Germany, on April 11.
Through his social media, the Olympic champion and world record holder at 2:01:39 said he will return to the city where he started the 42-kilometer race in 2013.
Kipchoge unveiled his plans just hours after his NN Running team also confirmed that the 36-year-old runner will be on the list of more than 100 star runners for the Hamburg Marathon.
The team announced a partnership with Hamburg Marathon organizers last week to organize the race in an area where only participants will be allowed.
