Deputy President William Ruto has joined millions of Kenyans in wishing former Prime Minister Raila Odinga a quick recovery after testing positive to COVID-19.

In a short speech via his twitter handle shortly after Raila’s Consultant neurosurgeon David Oluoch-Olunya disclosed the situation on Thursday evening, Ruto recounted on the many battles Raila has fought before wishing him a speed recovery.

Responding to the tweet, Kenyans have joined the DP in wishing Raila a speedy recovery saying he has been working tirelessly over the past few months.

At the same time, other Kenyans are calling on former PM to slow down on his political rallies after recovering.

Raila’s current situation comes only three days after the PM concluded a five days political tour at the coastal region to counter what is percieved as Ruto’s penetration into the region.

Kenyans are now waiting anxiously President Uhuru’s press briefing tomorrow following the lapse of nationwide night curfew that he extended till March 12 as part of measures aimed at taming the spread of Covid-19.
