
A 29 year-old man who was reported missing on Friday afternoon, June 4, 2021 has been found dead under unclear circumstances.
The body of David Odie, 29, was retrieved from bushes in Malanga, an area in Siaya, Alego after he went missing from his home in Alego, Randago, family says.
The former Pastor of Patmos Jesus Ministries International was last seen on Friday morning when he left for work.
Odie, a renowned motorcyclist, left his home as usual only to never come back.
The perpetrators also went away with his motorbike. However, it was later found in Busia.
According to residents, the demise of the ex-pastor shocked them because he worked on Friday as usual only for them to later learn of his missing.
Shortly after his death, friends took to their social media handles to mourn David, a man they not only considered their friend and family member, but also a key pillar in their ministry.



“After long search of my brother by tracking since yesterday and today in Busia and other places, the proclaimed Alego, killed our own blood and dumped the body in a homestead around Upanda in Mur Malanga. Alego is full of witches and idiots sugar-coated with poverty.Siaya has killed my brother,Alego is full of witches,Alego is full of IDIOTS.Ting’wang’i you have gone wrong,Randago you have done us wrong,” Shared Habbs Victor, the deceased’s brother, on his Facebook account.

Police visited the scene of the crime on Sunday.
According to Habbas, his body was taken to Siaya County Referral Hospital Mortuary. He believes the later was killed by witches.
Relatives and friends are now hoping a postmortem examination and investigations will be carried out as soon as possible to unravel the motive of the killing and justice served.
